Sometimes I wonder...Where you are I can't find you. I can't see you. Are you there?
Sometimes I need you and search for you everywhere to hold me!!
You send me a hug through a hurting person I can hug. A smile to share with a passerby as I walk in my neighborhood. A kiss from my faithful dog who licks my face with a sincere love.
Your there in the air whispering my name gently in my ear~
"I love you my Child. I'm here. I see you-I know where YOU are & I'll always be with you. I care!"

My Love For You...Love God

My love for God

September 6, 2009 at 10:30am

A poem I wrote about God's love for us...
"My love for you!"~ The stars in the sky are the lullaby that put you to sleep resting in my peace. The moon is my night light that shines for you to see in the dark times of life. Which way to go only I know, so lay down your thoughts to your Heavenly dad's will, tuck in your heart to trust and be still. Sleep sound little child, sleep. Rest in my love that is ocean deep. I'm working all things together for good-as the morning sun rises and a new day is on the horizon that is the blanket of my love for you!! God

His Love

His Love

February 14, 2009 at 1:08am

Gotta have his love
or you've got nothing to give.
Gotta have his hope
or you've got no reason to live.
Gotta have his joy
or this life will get you down.
Gotta have his peace
or by works you'll be bound.

So I keep on walking
His grace has set me free.
And I keep on talking
of what God has done for me.

He's a lotta lotta lotta love
He's a lotta lotta lotta love
And He's in love with you and me.

I look up when I'm down
my face smiles from a frown.

Because he's gotta lotta lotta love
he's gotta lotta lotta love
He's got alot of love for you and me.

So let's share His and everyday!

Jesus Is Coming Soon

Jesus is coming soon

January 21, 2009 at 11:35am

Earthquakes and hurricanes
Floods and pouring rains
These are just the birthing pains...Jesus is coming soon.
People on purpose dying and babies alone crying
Money hungry businesses lying
These are just empty hearts sighing...Jesus is coming soon.

Jesus is coming soon.
He's coming back he promised to.
Worry not! He'll rescue you!
Make sure that you are His
In your heart invite him to live...Jesus is coming soon.

Speak loudly by what you do not so much by what you say
With love and peace and in His strength be the one to point the way.
Jesus, God's son is coming soon.
Hold onto nothing here that will burn one day
Send ahead all that you love to Heaven tucked away
It's not about what's here and now
For in the end every knee will bow.

Christmas Devotion

Christmas Devotion

December 14, 2008 at 7:53pm

Christmas is full of surprises each day in the month of December...just remember...
The old saying that says it all...".Jesus is the reason for the season".
God gave the best gift of all.
He gave Jesus, Jesus, oh precious Jesus, the baby who was born as our gift.
A gift of life, of hope, of peace...for all generations he came to release...
our shame, our pain, our loss-in the soul
The gentle baby became a man who gave it all to make us whole.
His love began in a cradle filled with innocence and pure love
it led him to a cross that shed his blood and tears from above.
Just like the Father gave the best gift of all on that Christmas morning-
we walk in his footsteps to give gift's to those we love
and those that are without love.
See without the world even really knowing
God has passed down a tradition that keeps going.
God is love and so the love we share is first from God birthed through His son bonded by His spirit and lives in each man, woman, boy or girl
in every heart all over the world.
Everyday can be Christmas which really means to worship Christ
Our gift giving can get pretty expensive just imagine our Father's price.
Take this moment to reflect on your life, where your heart is right now is everything alright?
Or could you kneel once more before the baby king-
have Jesus be born again again in your heart to forever sing?
Glory to God in the highest, Peace on earth to all men.
Jesus whispers are you listening...I love you, I grew up to die for your sin.
Have a Merry Christmas as you remember what it means
not rules and regulations but a miracle that happens beyond your dreams.
Just remember Christmas is full of surprises.

Christmas Cheer!

Christmas Cheer!

December 14, 2008 at 5:34pm

Spread the Christmas cheer
from your heart for all to hear!
Sing out with love and joy
for born to us is God's baby boy.
He's the ultimate gift he's the great I am.
His purpose is lived out through every willing lady and gentleman.
Look around and you will see
Just how good God has taken care of you and me.
Were fed, were clothed and we have cozy homes,
If one of us does not then our love in their lives be sewn.
Raise your glasses be it hot or cold
Do your best be it young or old.
Let this Christmas be the best ever
For God's Glorious Love be upon us now and forever!

Here I am once again

Here I am once again.... a song from my heart 06/08

August 3, 2008 at 7:35pm

Here I am once again at your feet.
Things coming down from all around
but I know your here with me.
Tears falling from my eyes
but it should be no surprise.
My enemies are closing in on my life.

The Lord is so good faithful and true
He will run to rescue you.
I need the truth to set me free.
I need your wings to cover me.

The crashing winds are hitting hard,
but I know your not too far.
Your stepping in your my defense.
In quietness I know you are my God.
I trust in you when nothings left standing
you as my foundation lifts me from the fog.

Sad days are cheered up with Psalm 100

O.K. .................................some days i get sad.
So I will clothe myself in Praise. One of the most influential Psalms in my growing up years was Psalm 100. The most amazing thing happens when I start thinking about and saying out loud all the things I'm grateful for. My heart that was once burdened and sad or lonely becomes alive filled with joy and peace and contentment. What the world needs now is Love? or thankfulness?? To have a great full day Be grateful all day is my motto. So start today to really be truly grateful for where your at, who you are becoming, who you share life with, what's all around you that makes up your world. One of my fave songs is "I ain't gonna take it anymore" by Faith Hill. Why? Because the part where she sings about coming out from beneath that rock and breathing.....that's what ungratefulness really is. Living under a rock is lonely and suffocating and depressing. So climb on out breathe the air realize YOU ARE A MIRACLE! and act out your grateful heart.

Psalm 100
1 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. 2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. 3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5 For the Lord is good: his mercy is everlasting, and his truth endureth to all generations.

Please God help us to be who you designed us to be. Thank you God for this time in my life. I put my trust in You. You are my strength and I love you because you first loved me. Everyday it's not one day at a time its moment by moment. But your never alone! The sadness dissipates in the brightness of truth.

A Break Through- A mother’s prayerful/thankful heart.

Lord, thank you for your healing touch. Praise you for the miracle you have blessed us with-
The miracle of a renewed hope and strength in my heart, in my marriage and in our home is a breakthrough in the cloud of a sad time in our family's life. My heart wanted to share a prayer of thankfulness that could be relatable or encouraging to someone else in a trying time.
so my dear God, You are amazing God to bring our hearts to a breaking point only to realize that you are doing something amazing in us. You are creating a strong bond between us and you. We are one in you. We have you here with us giving us Victory. Thank you for hearing my cries. Thank you for helping us navigate through our lives. Keep us in a spirit of repentance, forgiveness and humility able to fight against our enemies and bring our enemies to justice. We are humble before you and receive your kind mercy and forgiveness. Keep us from any further blindness or deafness. We desire your Holy Spirit to lead us. keep us from our enemies subtle deceptions. Bless our lives all of us in our family with your continued hand of blessing with good Godly friendships and those that can come along side of us to bounce things off of and receive wisdom from, to share joy's and sorrows with as well as in all of these things to share you Lord with. Bless my kid's with good Godly friendships that would be honoring to you. Thank you for all of the ones you have brought into their lives. Bless and Praise you God for your awesome amazing ways of loving our family. Thank you for the lessons learned in this very scary and sad situation with our friends who turned out to not be our true friends. Thank you Lord for allowing your truth to be revealed and not another day to go. That was your great and kind mercy that none of us deserve but I am truly grateful for. Thank you for reminding us that you are truly God and that your protection is real and constant. God, you know I will miss what could of, should of been and what I thought I had with my friend but Father you know what's best and so out of deep love for you and her and her family we will obey you and love them from a distance in prayer and good thought. Continue to heal our heart's where there has been abuse and mistreatment and cause us to love our enemies with a cup of cold water. We have chosen to let go and trust you with the outcome, come what may we as a family will keep our eyes on you Lord. Bless our enemies with truth, conviction, getting to the end of themselves to see only you and please cover those precious children. Thank you, bless you and all honor and glory go to your name Jesus. Amen. (aka "so be it")

(This came from a very tortuous, painful, sorrowful experience with a family who we loved and lost to their choices that were detrimental to our family. We will always and forever hold onto the good memories and forgive the ones that abused our hearts)

Bittersweet Stuff!

Bittersweet stuff!

It's bittersweet stuff to have your first born son move out and on his own. So many tears are flooding out of my eyes. I'm completely congested. Where does all the time go? Nineteen years have flown by. Andrew moved into his trailer tonight. It is located on grandpa's property. I guess it's a good thing he did it while we were at sports practices. It's so bittersweet. I am so happy for him but I'm ready yet I'm not. I wonder if my parents cried as much as I am crying for my first child as he moves on in his life to become the man God made him to be. I regret not spending more time as a family in our early years of marriage taken up with our family business and debates over stupid stuff. But God in his infinite mercy has allowed us to share more dinners together, play more games together and have more conversations at the kitchen counter! I'm thankful for the memories of our first five years together just me and my little man. For what a great young man Andrew has and is growing into. So many years of praying for him. I miss him already. I love him so much truly I do not have the capacity to love like God can but I love him so much. God I pray that you would love on and bless and cover my precious son, Andrew. Lead him into amazing victories in his life. Accomplishing all that you have for him. Amen.

A poem I wrote that night he moved out and on in his life.
"Tonight I called to say Goodnight"
Tonight I called to say goodnight.
It was your first night away from home on your own.
I awoke you from your sleep I just needed to say I love you.
In my heart I wanted to say more but your tired voice kept my conversation short.
Tears rolled down my cheeks as I called to say goodnight.
All the memories from the very first time my eyes saw you.
You were my special little guy and I loved you.
The moments we shared just you and I are forever tucked away in my heart.
Tonight I called to say goodnight.
I'll always be here for you my son- cheering you on as you venture on
to become all that God has made you to be.
Remember me, your mom. Wherever you are
just like a moon lit star
I'll be there lifting up prayers for you.
I love you. Goodnight.
Love, Mom

Deuteronomy 32:10-11 paraphrased in mom language style
She found him in a desert time in her life. She surrounded him and watched over him. She guarded him as her most precious possession. Like an eagle that rouses her chicks and hovers over her young, so she spread her wings to take him in and cared for him under her wing. (Then one day the mommy bird when it was time and after all the training she had given walked with her young one to the edge of the nest and looked out over all the earth and with a rub of her beak on his little head she nudged him out of the nest where he began to fly on his own. As the little momma bird with a tiny tear dropping onto her cheek gazed with anticipation of how her little one would do she hopped back in the nest with her three other young ones wrapping her wings around them and tweeking out to her son who flew away she delightfully sang...."we will be right here cheering you on and keeping a spot for you around the dinner table and a listening ear and a prayerful heart, we love you. Soar with God. See you soon.")

The Lord Lives

The Lord lives. You ask me how I know he lives. He lives inside..

July 30, 2008 at 1:31am

..My heart! Jesus is the best friend you'll ever have. And when we get to the end of ourselves then we truly get this. Don't wait until the last minute know today that Jesus loves you and he desires to live inside your heart. He is such a loving patient Savior. He gently knocks....will you open up and let him in? His love is without's not get things together and come to God. It's go to God and he gets things together. Know Him today. Pray- Lord Jesus come inside my heart. I realize I am lost without you and I need you to help me. Then trust God for the outcome of your new life beginning. Amen and so be it.

I want/don't want to write

I want to write yet I don't want to as well. My emotions are so deeply attached to my words. I can't escape myself. No place to go to where the pain doesn't follow. So many heart thoughts. Prayerful wishes like blowing dandelion seeds in the breeze.

I breathe in- deep down to my stomach. My hand rests on the wave of my exhale. Then back in again with the air I force myself to breathe. The everyday routine of life screaming out to me is like medicine that numbs a wound only to feel the sting after time evaporates the bandaid.

So many pictures racing through my mind.

Letting Go

"Letting go" a poem Carie wrote from a growing season of her life

"letting go"

Letting go is hard to do
to watch your dreams die
and your spirit cry I'm through.

But letting go can be so freeing
to step back and get clearer seeing.

The passion is watered down with accusations, negativity and exasperations
but greater is He who is in me who fills me with His inspirations.

"This too shall pass" is comforting and yet is not enough.
The pain is deep and altering that creates the heart to be tough.

Letting go is what I choose
but it's God in me that helps me to let the issues loose.

I haven't mastered this quite yet although I wish it, dream it and pray to
letting go is plain old hard to do.

I press on toward the prize the higher calling from God
remembering my life is not my own but with a great price been bought.

If its a 100 or 1000 times a day
Lord take this anger, hurt and pain away
bury it, heal my heart, help me I pray.

Written by Carie Rachel Trost (Tompkins)

inspired from Philippians 3:14 my life verse
I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. Only let us hold true to what we have attained. Join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us.
